Ohau Snow Fields

Deep in the beautiful Mackenzie high country sits the Ohau Snow Fields. The perfect place to get away from the busy winter crowds, Ohau offers incredible skiing, exceptional service and outstanding views across Lake Ohau and the surroundings mountains. Ski on and off the chairlift or tackle the short hike to Ohau's spectacular top ridge - it's definitely worth the effort!

Getting There

• A snow shuttle operates daily from Lake Ohau Lodge at the bottom of the ski field access road, up to the snow fields - chat to your travel specialist for more information
• Self drive: Ohau Snow Fields are just a 20 minute drive up the hill from Lake Ohau Lodge; 45 minutes from Twizel; 55 minutes from Omarama

Facilities

• Food and drink: the Day Lodge offers cafeteria food, coffee and souvenirs
• Car parking: parking is available near the Day Lodge, park and walk up to the ski field
• First aid: the Ohau Snow Fields Ski Patrol team manage any medical situations and emergencies

Childcare

Ohau Snow Fields do not have childcare facilities on the mountain, however there are children's ski lessons available to book - speak to your travel specialist for more information

Lessons

Lessons are available for skiing or snowboarding and cater to all levels from beginners to experts, all lessons can be pre-booked through your travel specialist
