Mt Hutt offers a huge range of skiing that will keep everyone happy! Perfect for families who are just starting out, right up to skiers and snowboards who have had multiple seasons on the snow, come and enjoy the spectacular views and some genuine kiwi hospitality, all just a 35 minute drive from Methven with easy access to Christchurch.
Getting There
- Snow transport buses operate between Methven, Christchurch and Mt Hutt, pre-book your transport with your travel specialist
- Self drive: Mt Hutt is an easy 35 minute drive from Methven; 55 minutes from Ashburton; 90 minutes from Christchurch
Facilities
- Food and drink: Sky High Cafe; Huber's Hut
- Retail store: the Mt Hutt Sno Shop is open 7 days between 8.30am and 4.30pm
- Ski storage: lockers are available for $10 per day, overnight storage only available for NZSki rental equipment - pre-book your rental equipment with your travel specialist
- Car parking: with over 850 parking spaces available, the Mt Hutt roads team will direct you to a car park on arrival. When the car park is full a free shuttle service operates between the overflow car park and the base building
- First aid: the Mt Hutt Snow Patrol team manage any medical situations and emergencies
Childcare
Skiwiland operates a variety of childcare programmes to cater to all ages and can be pre-booked through your travel specialist
- Mini Kids: early learning centre for kids aged 3 months to under 2 years
- Kiwi Kids: non-skiing programme for kids aged 2-5
- Skiwi Kids: ski lessons and activities for kids under 5 years old
- Kea Club: all day ski lessons (ages 5-15) or snowboard lessons (ages 8-15)

365 hectares of skiable terrain including 4 freestyle parks, accessed by 2 learner lifts, 1 six-seater high-speed chairlift, 1 quad chairlift and 1 three-seater chairlift
